Gloomy Week 😷

In Mumbai, it has been raining heavily from the past 3 days, because of which I couldn’t take Junior for a walk. I tried giving him his required exercise and burnt his energy at home only as much as I could. However, we still had a fun week.

The featured image is of sweet and tangy Risotto.

This combination is an age old combination and the best one when it is raining. Masala Chai and Pakoras. It literally changes your mood from gloomy to energetic.
Made Paneer Tikka. Since I do not have a tandoor, I marinated this for 2 hours and then cooked in the oven.
Homemade Hummus and Pita Bread. I made Pita Bread for the first time in my life. And it turned out to be good (that’s what people said 😜)
Made a Bengal Gram Paratha loaded with veggies and flaxseed.
Painted this as an expression for love. Every place is the right place to love ❤️
Can you see this cute boy’s tipsy torvey teef!!!
The whole bed is empty, but he still prefers sleeping on the floor and display his weird soul 🤣

Whatta a Week 😜

Let me take you through my activities in the past week, obviously, apart from the boring routine 😁

Made a mug cake using Wheat Flour, Sugar, Oil and Baking Soda. Heated it for 2 minutes and Boom! It was ready. Decorated it with Chocolate Ice Cream and some M&Ms. Super quick, easy and tasty.
When it is raining outside and you are cosy in your house, this meal is heaven.
When I paint 😊
He missed every throw 😆
See where the treat is, and where he aims 🤣
Isn’t he cute!

Happy lil’ week 😊

What I cooked last week.

Stuffed Paratha with Paneer and Cheese. And cooked garlic butter. Super delicious and filling.
Chole. Chickpeas in onion tomato gravy and wholesome spices. Protein filled dish to be had with puri or bhatura.
They always wait for us, don’t they? I painted this on Casper’s birthday (17th June). Waiting for me from the other side.
My cuddle partner ❤️
We are made and mad for eachother 💕

We sparkled every single day 😊

Another picture gallery of all the fun Mumma and Baby had in the lockdown.

The featured picture is of Quinoa made in Tomato Puree. Healthy, delicious and filling. Yum!

Onion Rawa Dosa made from Semolina, Rice Flour, Onions and Green Chillies. It is super easy, super fast and super tasty.
Cottage Cheese Enchiladas. The sauce is homemade and the filling is of Paneer and White Sauce. It’s not a typical Enchilada, but I tried something different and it turned out to be too good.
A vegetable to be had with Rotis made with Bell Peppers and Gram Flour. Another quick and delicious dish to make.
Another Sabzi made with Potatoes and Lady Fingers. This is my all time favourite dish to eat with Chapati.
Painted a colourful rainy evening couple.
Made this handsome baby Goofy’s portrait in Oil Pastels as a gift for a friend. This baby is no more. But always in our hearts ❤️
It takes 4 muscular men to get Junior’s nails cut 🤣
Post nail cutting, he sleeps in his all time favourite weird position. But sleeps like baby as he has lost all his energy in resisting nail cutting.
Then Mumma had to pamper him and remind him that he is always a good day 😍

What we did last week 😁

I cooked quite a few dishes last week. Posting pictures of some of them. Being a vegetarian, and due to lockdown, I have found enough time to try new recipes.

Also, the featured picture is of Paneer Pulao.

Kadai Mushroom, Mango, Pickle and Puri.
Potato filling bun sandwich.
Onions and Potato Pakoras.

As I love to paint, and I trying painting or sketching or colouring atleast once a week, here’s one which I made last week.

Romance in the rains, done in water colours on A3.

Just for a little laugh, Junior’s weird sleeping positions 😁

That’s my lipstick on his face when I kissed him 😍

Weekly fun

A colourful picture gallery of what Junior and me did in the last week.

I made Khichdi with Gatte ki Sabzi. A combination of Gujarati and Marwadi Cuisine. Extremely healthy and delicious.
Cooker Bread Rolls with Potato and Mayonnaise stuffing.
Painted this for my brother his birthday which was on the 28th.
Junior was super sleepy but still wanted to admire Mumma 😍
Mumma was annoying, but Junior still posed 😆
My Mom made tasty Brownie/Cake for my brother’s birthday.

Chinese Cuisine for Dinner

I made Paneer (cottage cheese) Chilli Dry, Schezwan Fried Rice and Paneer (cottage cheese) Manchurian Gravy for dinner with an Indian twist. This is not authentic Chinese Cuisine but a little more on the spicy side.

Schezwan Fried Rice
Paneer Manchurian Gravy
Paneer Chilli Dry

Crispy fried sweet corn Pakora

Not so healthy, but it’s ok to have cheat days. Specially in this lockdown, when you try to cook with the ingredients that are present in the kitchen to avoid going grocery shopping every now and then.

This dish has been made from deep fried gram flour mixed with some spices. In India, we enjoy this dish a lot in rainy season with Tea. And one of the best Makai Pakora (sweet corn pakora) I have eaten at Tiger’s Slip Lonavala.
